A projectile is two motions wearing one path: a constant horizontal glide and a vertical fall, deaf to each other. Gravity only ever touches the vertical. Split every problem into those two stories, solve each with the equations you already own, and the parabola stops being a curve and becomes two straight-line problems stapled together.
