Autocratic Management Style

An autocratic manager keeps every decision and tells employees what to do. Communication runs one way, from the top down, and employee input is not sought, so the picture of the business is a manager issuing directives to a team that reports back nothing but compliance. It is the fastest way to decide, which makes it the right fit in a crisis, under a tight deadline, or with inexperienced staff on routine tasks, and a poor fit for a skilled team whose expertise then goes unused.
